Sophie Bailey is the founder and host of the iTunes new and nominated, The Edtech Podcast. In this capacity, she talks to education leaders from around the world about the opportunities and challenges of change in educational technology, leadership, and teaching and learning. The podcast is downloaded by more than 1,500 subscribers weekly, from over 145 countries.
Sophie has moderated LIVE podcast discussions at SXSWEDU, ASU GSV Summit, GESF, Bett and WISE Conference. Outside of the podcast, Sophie has curated events like The Edtech Podcast Festival and Future Edtech, with speakers across the higher education, supplier, regulatory and policy space, through her consultancy “Tangential Brain”.
Her latest podcast series is a collaboration with UK membership organisation Jisc, looking at Education 4.0 and the impact of the fourth industrial revolution on higher education.
She has sat at UK Department for Education roundtables on the future of edtech, and is a judge for the Bett Awards, the Adult Literacy XPrize, and the Reimagine Education Awards.
